Statement
This work has the most traditional- like quilt block construction with improvisational and layered sashing becoming the intersections: the diagonal beaded lines, the crossings. At each intersection and block center lies a symbolic image. Some of the image "patches" are hidden, although accented with light-catching sequins, while others are quite visible. All of this layered complexity leads one to the metaphor of the title.
